Train Sustain International Teachers training
Train Sustain aims to professionalise Trainers of disadvantaged citizens in creating sustainable jobs. We give trainers guidance in training citizens with learning difficulties or mental challenges, on how to repair, renovate and restore used items. In this way we help promote green business opportunities while supporting the employability of vulnerable participants as they are equipped with the proper knowledge on how to enter or re-enter the labour market.
It is indeed a challenge to train people with learnining disabilities, suffering from long-term stress or long-term unemployed as a trainers cannot just get a traditional learning module and expect to get good results. Trainers must focus not only on the technical skills, but more importantly, focus also on the flexibility of the curriculum, the learning styles, the time needed for a skill to be learned. Train Sustain takes this aspect into consideration.
VET trainers and volunteer trainers’ task is to acquire both new personal and craft skills and competences. Our logo has a robust font, the green color refers to sustainability. The pile of stones represents the vulnerability of the target group. They are balancing, but at the same time, they count and rely on each other. So, they will become strong and self-balancing. In Dutch we use the word 'stone' (kei) for a strong person that we are proud of.
International Teachers Training San Sebastian From 23-25th of may we organise an International Teacher’s Training in San Sebastian/Spain. Partners will share their knowledge and competencies in a hands on way of teaching. It promises to be an exciting learning experience. The partnership consists of various organisations so we’ll learn a lot that can help each organisation with their daily goals. On one hand we will focus on technical skills.
